Croft House, Selkirk Heritage and Cultural Centre

The Croft House honours the memory of our Scots ancestors.

Built in 1973, the Croft House is a replica of Scots’ homes from the early 1800’s. In 1803 our Scots ancestors settled in the Belfast area, arriving on three ships, led by Thomas Douglas, the fifth Earl of Selkirk.
It houses relics and museum pieces and is interpreted in the summer from June – September. We also have a wee gift shop featuring clan items related to names of settlers off the ship the Polly, names still heard in the community.
